What the critics say (scores are out of 100)
Stuff | Tom Morgan A true flagship phone which gives you plenty of power, a great screen and one of the best cameras around. It's close to flawless... Yes, it looks an awful lot like an iPhone, EMUI takes some getting used to, and it isn't anywhere near as distinctive as Samsung's curved glass or LG's ultra-slim bezels. But that doesn't stop it from being Huawei's best phone to date, and indeed one of the best plus-sized phones you can currently buy. Read full review |

Australian PC World | Nick Ross Huawei's phones have arguably been the most innovative in recent years. The P10 Plus is an impressive flagship with an outstanding camera and no real weak point (except for annoying low-light camera performance). Read full review |
NotebookCheck | Manuel Masiero Undoubtedly, Huawei's P10 Plus is a superb premium-range smartphone. However, it does not stand out decisively from the cheaper Huawei P10 despite its superior configuration. Read full review |
Android Authority | Kris Carlon The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus prove that incremental improvements eventually start to stack up. From an excellent camera and build quality to impressive battery life and specs, the P10 and P10 Plus offer Mate 9 performance in a more manageable size. Read full review |
ZDNet | Sandra Vogel The high price of the Huawei P10 Plus means that it should have had the book thrown at it in terms of specifications and features. With that in mind, there are some issues that are difficult to forgive. Still, there's a lot to like here. Read full review |
Digital Trends | Andy Boxall The P10 has a versatile, and creatively exciting camera. It's also fast, responsive, has good battery life, and is attractive in an unsurprising way. Read full review |

The Mirror | Jeff Parsons A straight-shooting upgrade with a Leica camera that still shines. With refined design, updated specs and a powerhouse of a camera add up to make the P10 a compelling choice for Android enthusiasts. Huawei has produced another stunner of a phone. My issue with the screen protector aside, the P10 Plus is definitely recommended. Read full review |
news.com.au | Matthew Dunn All in all, the P10 and P10 Plus showcase why Huawei has become a force to be reckoned with in the global smartphone market. While I will likely return to my S8 for daily use, I feel these devices would be the perfect fit for someone wanting a different alternative to the iPhone, without confusing them too much. S21 The P10 Plus is Huawei's best phone ever, and a rival for the iPhone 7+ and Galaxy S8. But the Chinese brand has overreached when it comes to pricing, and misses out on a 5-star review for that reason. Read full review |
Recombu | Chris Barraclough The P10 Plus is another solid combination of premium components and smartly designed software, from a mobile company who's delivered solid smartphones for a good long while. Read full review |
Alphr | Christopher Minasians There's lots to like about the classy Huawei P10 Plus, but not enough to justify the high price. It's a beautifully designed bit of technology, but not exceptional enough to justify the cost. Read full review |
Expert Reviews | Christopher Minasians The P10 Plus isn't a bad phone. Like the regular Huawei P10, it's a great piece of hardware that's simply overpriced. As and when the P10 Plus drops in price, I can certainly see myself recommending it. Until then, it's a phone to admire from afar. Read full review |
Pocket-lint | Mike Lowe Visually it's one of the best looking Huawei devices to date, the EMUI software is the most mature it's ever been, the battery life is great, the dual cameras are capable, there's loads of power and storage on board and, well, as Android phones go it's right up there... It's not perfect though. Read full review |
Android Central | Alex Dobie ...they do deliver just about everything you could ask for in a modern Android phone. There's one big catch, though. The lack of oleophobic coating on the display may be a reason for discerning buyers to skip this round of Huawei phones. Read full review |
What Mobile | Thomas Wellburn The P10 Plus is the best smartphone from Huawei to date, but it's not a huge jump forward like its predecessor. It feels more like a refinement overall, making an already great handset even better. Read full review |
phoneArena | Stephen S. The Huawei P10 Plus is a totally decent phone. But while the Huawei P10 Plus isn't a bad phone, it is one that's facing some stiff competition. Just make sure you check out some of those peers before going all-in on the P10 Plus. Read full review |

Mobile Syrup | Rose Behar If you're a budget-minded Android user looking for a premium phone with a great camera, this handset is for you. Read full review |
