The Guardian | Samuel Gibbs

The Honor 10 is another example of an excellent smartphone that comes very close to matching the latest top-of-the-range phones, but costs significantly less.

Man, does this phone have style. There's power to spare in the Honor 10, too. Samsung, Apple et al should be worried.

Coolsmartphone | Leigh Geary

Huawei have created this brand and the brand is producing handsets which are, in a lot of ways, just as good as the top-end Huawei phones. However, the Honor handsets cost a lot less.

The Honor 10 is an easy pick if you want a phone that practically has everything except for a steep price tag and maybe water resistance.

The Honor 10 is the complete package, especially if you consider the price. It'll be difficult to top for the time being.

The Honor 10 is a very good Premium handset that is well positioned, even against the top contenders we threw at it.

There's a lot to love here, especially considering the price compared with other flagships, and we particularly enjoyed the camera, the display and the overall design.

The £400 price tag does, however, come at a cost (no pun intended) as holding the phone we found that features and functions that should be easily carried out took just that little bit too long, which was disappointing.

This is a great phone for anyone who wants near flagship-level performance in a compact, good-looking frame.

Honor has built up quite a reputation for itself in the budget market in recent times. Although Honor 10 is anything but a budget phone, it's an excellent device that should be considered alongside the very best. The reason it doesn't quite swing a five-star review is that it misses the mark in a few key areas: battery life isn't stellar, it lacks waterproofing and there's no microSD storage expansion.

...it is yet another excellent phone choice from Honor's ever increasing product portfolio of affordable devices.

The Honor 10 is an excellent mid-range handset. It has lots of features and certainly gives the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus a run for their money.

This smartphone is a work of art – not necessarily as a traditional does-everything handset, but in its unique set of special features and external casing.

Honor continues its battle with OnePlus with an offering that is both well-rounded and impressive. Is the Honor 10 worthy of the price tag? Absolutely.

The Honor 10 is yet another "affordable flagship" from the Chinese brand that offers high-end performance and features at a mid-range price point. Outstanding quality at an enticingly low price.

Honor has been gaining traction in the affordable flagship space for good reason and the Honor 10 represents exactly why. You'll struggle to find a better phone at this price.

The buzz word around this offering is 'AI' but for me anyway I fail to get it, others say it's the ability of the camera and how it treats images but as I was not happy with what the camera offered me that does not help to persuade me.

The Honor 10 is an excellent device whilst still making some compromises (no wireless charging for one), but still clearly hold the throne...and will only get better over the next 6 months with software updates.

I'd be inclined to recommend spending a little more on Samsung Galaxy S8, even if it is significantly older or even the OnePlus 6.

The Honor 10 is undoubtedly the most capable smartphone that Huawei's sub-brand Honor has ever released in India. It has a sleek and compact design, a bright and punchy display, and heaps of power on board.

The Honor 10 SmartPhone looks a lot like the recent Samsung Galaxy S9 and others who have held both together struggle to tell them apart when blindfolded.

Mr Phone | Sreehari

The Honor 10 is a good smartphone, just not the best. So then, why should someone buy this? Well, this phone is meant for the person who values elegance and comfort over the beefy specs. This is for someone who wants to steer away from the crowd and values uniqueness.

How HandsetExpert Works: We don't run ads on the site, or charge users to use the site. The site is funded using commission links, where we may receive a commission if a phone or tariff is purchased via HandsetExpert. Our editorial, phone scoring and recommendation system and deal-finding algorithms are not affected by this; we are fiercely committed to providing unbiased, independent information.

Important notes

  • We aim to compare as many tariffs in the marketplace from the UK as possible. However, we do not include every package (e.g. legacy tariffs no longer available, or tariffs only available to existing/specific customers), nor do we detail every aspect of every tariff (e.g. international out of bundle rates, on-network minutes, etc).
  • SIM Only deals do not include plans shorter than 30 days or Pay As You Go rates.
  • We work really hard to get accurate prices from as many providers as possible, but some deals or providers may not be included; if there’s anything we’ve missed then please get in touch and let us know.
  • Whenever we can, we will let you know if a deal is time limited (such as a flash deal), and when the deal expires.
  • For tariffs which offer "unlimited" allowances, there may be times where traffic management or fair usage policies apply.
  • Additional charges for payment methods other than direct debit and for itemised/paper billing may apply.
  • Data only SIM cards, mobile broadband packages, and pay monthly tablets are currently not included in the comparison.
  • Out of bundle charges are not included in the calculation of Average Monthly Cost.
  • Contracts may not be available for some phone models in all colours and/or sizes, and a small number may only be available either as a pay monthly contract or a contract free handset, but not both.
  • Providers may increase the cost of your contract by RPI (inflation). However, if prices are increased that then cause a materially detrimental impact, you have the right to exit your contract without penalty. More details available from Ofcom plus comparative information on customer service and complaints handling & their guide on how to complain.
  • Ofcom runs a voluntary accreditation scheme for digital comparison tools (DCTs) for telephone, broadband and pay-TV, and has confirmed that this DCT meets the criteria for accreditation. For further details about the scheme, including the criteria that DCTs must meet, visit the price comparison page on the Ofcom website.
